GI Bill Question

Anyone have any knowledge of a company or training facility that takes the GI Bill for payment. I am in the process of looking for oppertunitys for job placement overseas and putting my resume together. I have to use my GI Bill soon and thought that it might be an option to use for taining and further education to better myself and chances of finding a job. I used my GI Bill for college, however I have known of guys to use to the GI Bill at some trade schools. I would first look into a school and then ask your local or region VA education assistance officer to see if the school or trade school is eligible for GI Bill usage.

The GI Bill doesn't pay the school directly, you will register at that school submit your classes to the VA officer, and they will pay you and in return you can pay the school or party with the money. Most schools have a VA educational officer at them, at least in the US.

Again I am no expert on this subject and I would strongly suggest contacting the VA, as they would be able to give you information that is spot on.

I have been researching this quite a bit lately because I am soon to return to the states and ETS. Ive found that for trade schools and training the VA has an accelerated pay program that will repay 60% of the tuition. The problem is that you have to pay the full amount your self first, and begin the school, once it is verified that you are attending you will receive the 60% pay back. Most of the schools that can be paid for with these kind of programs have all the knowledge you will need, call them and ask.

I am mostly looking for schools along the lines of PSD training. Facilitys like HC Tactics and ESI I have heard rumors about some companys takeing the GI Bill as payment but I have yet to find one that does.

I have seen quite a few threads about schools that are supposed to be able to accept GI bill/VA benefit's but i don't know that there are many out there. Myself I am looking into one for UXO/EOD type stuff that is accepted, but haven't found any shooter/driver type schools as of yet.

Just an FYI. There is a commercial diving school in Seattle called the Diver's Institute of Technology that accepts the GI Bill. I did a bit of research on it because I almost went and it is good to go.
