I got a request from a producer for the show Dangerous Missions on The History Channel. They are producing a show on SWAT teams and he is looking for footage of SWAT operations, interviews with current or former SWAT team operators, etc.

If you would be interested in geting your mug plastered on the boob tube, email me and I'll forward you his contact info.

They are supposed to call me within the next week to do a phone interview. I've give everyone a heads up on the type of questions they are asking.

So far they said they interviewed a few of the original LAPD SWAT guys and got some stock footage of the SLA shoot out.

I also gave them the number for a friend of mine over at LASD SED.

Sorry bout that..

I Personally think those are some teams that are frequently mentioned by their peers as being tactically proficient, highly active, or having a very professional reputation. Whether it's because of their operational experience/expertise or their ability to keep themselves sharply honed.

I think they're also noteworthy because they don't share much of the media spotlight as often as other 'higher' profiled teams.

Mmmm'kay?

I believe one of their film crews was at the Texas TPOA competition in September. Hopefully the special doesn't show alot of tactics. I'm kinda tired of the "tipping of the hand" business the media does for those who we might go against some day. Bad guys like that kind of intel.
