Been seeing alot of this stuff, especially out of Sweden. I highly recommend Sweden by the way, nice country, good DTS. Do you all think this is a valid round for LE? Supossedly is hotter than .223, bigger round obviously, maybe penetration concerns?

6mm What? You need to post some stats, info, photos, links or something so everyone knows what your talking about.

Leaving now and slinking back to the non-LE forums. http://www.socnetcentral.com/ubboard/biggrin.gif

Talking about 6mm as a round,Sniper. Does anyone think it's a viable alternative to 5.56 or even 7.62? Its velocity tops out at around 3-3200 from what I've seen.

Joe,
What he was asking was 6mmX? case dimension. There was a thread a week or so ag about some of the various 6mm wildcats that are popular among longrange shooters. Which 6mm were you referring to?

I've heard its good for varmints but not deer. <picking tooth>

I've also heard it can't compete beyond about 300 yards with a .308.

Joe,
Still wanting to know which 6mm you are talking about? There is a 6mm Ultimate that runs a 100gr bullet with a BC of .50 at about 3000ft/s...Check the down range ballistics of that rascal
