If you guys haven't seen this system and it's accompanying round you better research it. Looks to be good stuff as long as it stays in the hands of the right people.

My concern is that freakin pistol shoots the same round and will penetrate level III armor. Hope that thing's not available to the general public. <<<shiver>>>

That 5.7 mm round can't be imported for civilian use. If a US manufacturer is ever licensed to produce that ammo I'm sure you'll see those pistols for sale here too.

Sharky, I hear what your saying Bro! We have a rnd already that is almost identical its the .221 rem. Fireball and I don't think any Cops have been shot with that yet.
It only takes about$100.00 to get a set of custom dies made and load your own. It would make a neat little handgun hunting rnd though!
Thanks Murph, Hows NYC? I think We need a good Snow storm to get us in the spirit! http://www.socnetcentral.com/ubboard/biggrin.gif

FN has stated they won't produce that round or handgun for civillian use. Whether or not that remains true, time will tell. Anyway, it's about time some intelligent mo-fo out there freakin invented some lightweight body armor that can stop rifle as well as pistol rounds at an affordable cost.

HK also has a new gun out the PDW/MP7? It looks to be alot like the FN-p-90 in ammo type. And looks like it will be a bad boy too. You can bet sooner or latter the Bad guys will get their hands on one or two.

Not to get off the subject but, Sharky have you gotten the HK .40 compact L.E.M. yet. I'm waiting for the DD. to sign off the forms for Me to carry it. I shot one of those little babies at the quals today very nice, well worth the cash.

Is that 5.7 anything like the .224 Boz? .224 Boz is essentially a necked down 10mm with a FMJ bullet...also said to penetrate Kevlar vests.

Fish,
Got anymore info on that Boz? I've got a 10mm Glock. All I'll need is a new barrel and a set of dies.

Augie,

About time you came back around bro. Thought we'd lost ya. I haven't bought my HK yet although I am definitely going to.

HK is hands down (Everybody freakin listening here?)the best combat handgun, for the money, ever made. Sig compares in quality but cannot compare in value. Especially for Departmental issue of a pistol, as the HK is totally ambidextrous with just a few parts switched out and is totally modular in design. For the money, you just can't beat that gun. If I buy this one it will be my fourth HK pistol. I love em.

Anyway, yes I had worked the OT days and had the money to buy the gun when some jackass from Juarez T-boned my '99 T/A. He had no insurance at all so guess where all the OT money went? I was not happy. Now christmas is taking care of the OT money so MAYBE I'll get it early next year.

Stay in touch Augie.

I was on the Northen Border security detail for for 5 weeks. Lots of OT. And since I've been back INS has put Me to work with a lot of OT. There was two Possible Suspects that FBI/JTTF had Info/tips on that I had to follow up on, that were coming in to visit just in time for the Holidays (both turned out to be Nothing). I'm around just don't post much.

I like the LEM trigger on the HK. but that little gun has a kick to it.
