G'day all,

I was just looking up Kyra Phillip's bio (she's the one that left her mike on and made comments about her family on live TV, as well as the reverse oreo comment) and saw this:

"In 2002, Phillips became the first female journalist to fly in an F-14 air-to-air combat training mission over the Persian Gulf. For a full month, Phillips produced exclusive reports on the U.S. Navy's reconnaissance missions from the P-3 aircraft and maritime interdiction operations from the USS Paul Hamilton. For the first time ever, television audiences got a look inside the training of Naval Special Warfare, the Navy's Special Operations Command. Phillips also observed Navy SEALS and Special Warfare Combatant Crewman training.

Phillips has extensive police, SWAT and weapons training. She also has reported on and participated in specialized aviation training with the Navy's elite TOPGUN School."

Is there any reason why a reporter would receive "extensive" weapons training?

A guess a hot MILF journalist popping haji's can't be bad for live TV :D

It sounds as if she's been to several "dog and pony" shows during her career, that's all. The Navy likes putting these on for reporters, congresscritters, and other "VIPs".:D

Looking like this doesn't dampen the enthusiasm to say yes to a request either....

Maybe she is an Elite Team Fighter... Nah she's too hot for that goober.

Just casue her bio states that she has extensive Police, SWAT and weapons training doesnt mean that she really does have that training from police or military. Gotta remember that there are a LOT of training sites that cater to civilians and market themselves as SWAT and what not kind of training. A good number like Blackwater, Gunstie, Thunder Ranch... offer some really awesome training. Also got to remember that its a bio and they are known to be a bit puffed up so to speak.

Although the image of a hot chick who can handle guns and take care of herself isnt a bad one.

Being allowed to tag along because your HOT hardly qualifies as "trained".

Maybe she has bumped uglies with all the above and acquired her "skills" by way of osmosis?

"In 2002, Phillips became the first female journalist to fly in an F-14 air-to-air combat training mission over the Persian Gulf."

Pretty TV girl: "So this is a- like real A2A training mission? Like, for real?".

(I will now attempt to accurately simulate USN Naval Aviator)

F-14 Aviator: "Oh, it's real baby. Like, totally real."

"She also has reported on and participated in specialized aviation training with the Navy's elite TOPGUN School."

Maybe my sarcasm is uncalled for. Indeed, in her picture, she looks very serious. ;)

Sgt. at briefing: "We got a civilian ride along, who wants her?"

Officer: "What does she look like?"

Sgt.: "Ehhhhh...."

Officer: "The new guy's gonna take her."

Phillips has extensive police, SWAT and weapons training.

Is that how they are referring to the SWAT groupies these days? Man I am getting old. :o
