East Timor

On 60 minutes this Sunday (Nov 5th) there is a piece about the ongoing battles in East Timor. I haven't seen it yet (obviously) but I was wondering if anyone has any idea of the situation over there. The press coverage here has disapeared. Is it still very dangerous and is there a potential for it to get worse?

Aussie SAS accused of torture?

The dutch press agency reported that.Can some of the aussies on the forum tell me more about it.

SASR were accused of taking their photos with militia they had killed, treating them a trophies (whooptie-fucking-doo) and intel guys apparently used the same bodies to torment militia.

Its fucking unbelieveable, look at everything that australia has done over there, and then because they use a basically light method of torchure they get shitted on. What about any other intellegence agency world wide, i have read, and am sure that they use more brutal tactiks then the SASR and intel.

I think that more than anything this is just pure hype by Indonesia, I am sure that they use on a regular basis means of intel that are not allowed by any human rights legislation.

It sounds very similar to what Ho Chi Min did to the Yanks during Vietnam.

Has anyone relised what shit the militia have done to the East timorize people. They also mutalated the body of Pte Leonard Manning after he was shot. I think they deserve every thing they get.
