will do, just got to do a bit of research on 4RAR, i might have to e-mail the webmaster of the australian army website for some feedback..
i know a lil about Clearance Diving, well enough to get it started,
SAS well i got books and books on them
1st commando regiment well i might have to do some research on them, but i think i may have enough info to get it started,
The weapons part will be up very soon i have it all set up i just have to fix the links,
i wont put up the forum and guestbook until the site has enough info on it and i may add a links drop down menu.

And maybe Tom could post my link on the aussie section of SOCNET when my site is done..

I think your site is great man, but WHY do you have pictures of RAR battalions on your sasr page. Namely 2RAR famous initial ETimor contact. Surely you could have used the same recycled pics that every other site on SASR uses. Or researched a few from aussie defender which published many of the 2RAR pics u used.

Heaps of mistake in your weapons tab data. Australia doesn't use Steyr AUG but the Steyr AUS. Two different weapons. And the only people using M16/203 combos are army infantry recon and sniper cells. SASR, 4RAR and ADG's are all using M4's these days and the SASR especially has been using them for quite a while. Tabulated data on nearly all your weapons is inaccurate. Comon mate even choco's can get their hands on pams.

all the weapons info is 100% correct and the weapons used arnt necessarily used buy aussies, i just out up the more common ones.

And the pictures were too add some spice to it. It isnt about pictures, its just about those units. No one really cares what piccies are there.

I served for 5 years - I now work professionally developing kit for the professional elite. The fact is my kit has been used in East Timor by numerous units that you can't even pronounce.

Yes - great make a web site about Aussie SF. That is a good start. But the majority of your web site just copied from others. How bane is that?

I'm unsure if you can class clearance divers as S.F. certainly the Aussies CDs I know don't put themselves in that category.

Why not look at something a little more serious and beneficial. Perhaps look at Z or M force, Aussie SAS exploits of WWII.

Especially Captain Cary - unsure if that’s how you spell his name. But missions such as Jaywick and Rimau are legends among the SF community and have never been equalled.

OK, but if you asked nicely - guys would help you. If you through feedback in peoples face - what can you expect but a good flaming.

Your pictures look very similar to ones used in Army magazine, and other military books. I hope you realise that copyright theft is punishable with a jail term in Oz.

I suggest you remove the offending pictures.

No where on my site does it say that CD are SF.... Elite yes... And about what one of u said about me using a comeback of "Oh my god u cant even spell" skip brought it up on my site, then he comes out with a post with spelling mistakes. And as i will point out again all my weapons information is 100% correct, maybe not used by aus but the info is correct.... what else, oh yeah, and no where on the army magazine is there a copywrite so... yea i cant be charged... and i dont need to have SASR pics with SASR i can have whatever i want, its not about pictures, and judging by some of you, thats all your brain power allows you to read..


SASR, 4RAR, SASR in borneo and vietnam, hasnt been copied from anywhere, i got it off friends and got a lil info off sites and books. CD and 1CDO info is the info on this site and the defencejobs sites.. My site is the only site with 4RAR info and SAS preselction requirements.. I have used my own made up scenarios to give examples of what people may expect when they go there.. so please not all the information is whats on other peoples sites.

Hey man if you are going to put up a website about SASR you have to put up SASR pics. Its like someone making a Holden ad with Ford pics. You know it just aint right.

No actually your wrong copyright is automatic and is common law. You rarely see copyright statements on sheet music or literature such as poems etc, but copyright applies to everything. So copying pictures, text and other images is a breach of such.

Usually all you have to do is ask whether it is possible to use such pics, for example ask Tom Hunter – he might well help you out.

Like I say - change the attitude and you might get some help from others as well.

Perhaps you could add RFSUs. You could also consider ASIO and other similar organisations. I know of a few sources of information that you could try...

What about Z or M force, Independent Commando Coys, Coast watchers, During WWII?

Now that you have the bones of a good web site, why not look at expanding on it. You could go into more depth on lots of areas, using links so as not to bore those people not interested.

For example do a section of links from the SASR page into the various specialities. You could include;
CT
DA
Recce
Waterborne troop
Airborne troop
Mobility troop

You should also look at what the various units have done in more depth.

There is loads of information, try 'Odd angry shot - a very good book about the SASR in the Vietnam war' and 'Phantoms of the Jungle' a very good unit history.

Keep working on it..
