If discharged on or after 1/1/1995 the address is;

Using the link that Global Med offered I tested the system. Some years ago I sent for my DD214's and I got actual copies of my DD214's. It took approx 6 months at that time.
Check this out from NAVPERS too...

You can order your (almost) full service records on CD-ROM. It has DD-214, evals, original enlistment docs, etc. and you can print them out whenever you need them.

This won't affect more recent Veterans, but bear in mind that close to 80% of the records for Vets between the years 1917 and 1961 were destroyed in the fire back in the 70s.
Edit: That would pertain to Army records. A smaller number of Air Force records were destroyed, and I don't think Navy records were affected at all.
I hope you can find them comrade, let me know if you can't.
For everyone else. We get a dozen or more DD-214 posts every year relating to them being lost or needed a new one. Make sure you pay special attention to this and put the originals away somewhere save. Make several good copies and use those to make your future copies. As well, scan the mofo into a PDF format so you can keep digital copies.

The blueberry ink used to fill the quill pens faded a bit. But I could still see the outline of the Santa Maria. ;)

Well the news I have recieved is that I have two DD214's. One before 1995 and the other in 2006. That makes for two different places to get copies. I know the latest has all the updates and shows TIS so it should work fine. Again all the info is the shit guys. Thanks.

Also, you can go to your county clerks office and have them entered into the public record books there. They will be official, and always available to you....
For those of us who this applies to, keep copies of your anthrax vaccine shot records too... I know they never "found any problem," but you never know... I had 4 of them before the FDA shut down the lab. Just sayin'....
