Hi everyone. If I was medically disqualified about 2 years ago, will it be on record? I never even got to MEPS... It really pissed me off since it was something trivial and I know I was in better shape than most of the guys that I saw walking in and out of that office. Ohh well so what do you think?

Ammo,

In 1987 I tried to enter the military with the USMC. But when I went through MEPS for my physical the doctor noticed I had flat feet and I was disqualified to enter service. Then in 91 a friend of mine talked me into going and seeing a recruiter about joining. one thing led to another and this time when I went to MEPS I passed the physical I got in. I am not sure if records are kept by anyone, and if they are by who or for how long. I would say give it a shot, never know?

Caveman, thanks for the reply. I am definitely going to try again when I get in better shape http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/smile.gif I was just wondering if anyone knew if they kept records fo such things. I wasn't even able to get into MEPS I got disqualified before that even happened lol.

Ammo,

I believe they keep permenant DQs on record for 5 or 7 years. Aftert hat, yo ucan try again. If you got a good reason and a good recruiter, you can sometimes get a new physical during that time. A different doctor might give you a waiver instead of a PDQ. Its worth a try and better than waiting 5-7 years.
