Anybody have comments on the Nighthawk?
I love mine cause it does everything I
ask of it and I'm not as worried about
losing it as I am my Randall.
It was made for the Navy SEAL's, but it didnt pass the tests. Im thinking about buying one as well (1/2 serrated tanto blade) but the steel used kinda bothers me. 425 isn't exactly the most impressive material on the market. Maybe you can comment on the blade's properties?

Veil-
Mine is the 1st style with the beadblasted blade and the non-serrated edge. I have used the other two blade types with the other finish. Everyone else I have seen loves them. Try WAL-MART, they generally have great prices if AAFES doesn't have them.
Hope it helps

didn't have time to comment further before. my blade is 650 C. it has had superb edge retention (and it gets used A LOT), no damage other than normal wear to the blade, and no rust spots whatsoever. I use the blade almost every weekend for hiking trips
and utility work. It has done seatbelts, webbing, rope, branches and anything I have asked of it. A little TLC with my GATCO tristeps and she's shaving sharp.
Pathfinder,
Sounds good. I'll be sure to check them out really soon.
