Anybody gone through this process? The list of military courses they will accept seems small.

DOD:
AART DOCUMENT
CDP-Center for Domestic Preparedness Certificate
J-7 DOCNET TRAINING CERTIFICATE
JFSA-Joint & Combined Staff Officer Certificate
JFSC-Joint & Combined Warfighting Certificate
SMARTS DOCUMENT
VMET DOCUMENT

Army:
Fort Huachuca-Intelligence School DA Form 1059
US Army Chemical School Certificate
US SERGEANT MAJOR ACADEMY CERTIFICATE

No other NCO schools, Ranger school, ...? Is this the concensous at other universities?

Troy Univ. gave me 24 credit hours for my time. 18 hours for my MilSci Minor completed before I ever took a class and 6 left over for use toward electives. At first they offered me 11 and after I told them I would just go to school elsewhere they took another look and changed their mind. Pretty unbelievable that AMU will only accept those few courses as credit.

I go to the University of Phoenix online and they accepted almost all of my military credits. I got 39 credit hours applied towards my degree from my service and that is a huge advantage for anyone.

They have the best veterans program you can find (IMO) and have a lot of really good programs to choose from. It is accredited and based on what I've heard from professionals, an employer views an online degree from the UOP with just as much, if not more respect than a standard university degree. The reasons for this are because it shows that you have good time management skills, devotion, commitment, structure, self control, etc...all of the good qualities employers look for from candidates.

I know a lot of guys I served with who go and everyone I talk to loves it, including myself. It's very flexible with your schedule, classes are 100% online and the support/resources they make available to you are immense. I highly recommend it.

Hovy,

Go to a near-by Ed Center, they can convert most of your Mil schools into a format that will be accepted by any school you go to.

APU accepted well over 30 of my transfer credits, initially. I hadn't taken a class for quite some time and I switched majors and loss a lot of credit.

With APU/AMU it depends on what degree you're getting and where your credits are coming from. Check around though...UMUC/University of Phoenix/Grantham, these are all military friendly schools. Also, there's always Regents University!

AMU took all my crap and converted it into 36 credits. Send them everything and see what they except. Have you given them a call?

This was my initial thought, although they explicitly state do not send documents thats are not listed. Because the process cost $100, I'm trying to gather intel before I send my packet in.

I remember chatting with you about this topic, thats with I was shocked to see such a short list. I am going to call my student advisor on Monday to sort this out.

If you're in VA, there an Admin office for AMU here. Chantilly I think!
