Forgot to mention : the Lightfoot blades are all incredible! Both aesthetically and technically. I've never seen such beautiful knives... It's a shame such custom knives are impossible to get here.

Picked up a Nimravus a little over a year ago, and haven't carried any of my other fixed blades since. Feels great in the hand, good blade control, and a pretty good scabbard (though you have to be careful because the Kydex is a bit noisy).

MT,
How's the balance? im not really used to small blades so im interested... does it feel like a large folder or something?
-Veil
Veil,
In hand it is not nearly as bulky as say a Benchmade Striker (my standard folder). Balance is also slightly farther forward, for me it is right under the index finger. The grip also has a better shape.
Do remember that this is a light blade and inadequate for anything more then the lightest chopping jobs. If I had to go into the bush anymore, I would probably pack a heavier blade.
If you have questions, the people at Benchmade are great help.

I understand. Besides buying it from a knife-enthousiast point of view, i've been thinking that it might be a good alternative to a folder - being more sturdy without moving parts.
I guess i'll have to see when i finally get one :]
Thanks,
-Veil

Nimravus is a good blade. I had one, but traded for a heavier knife, a Cold Steel SRK. I really like the feel of the Nimravus and it was a great knife, just not suited to my needs. If I were you, I would get the M2 steel version. It rusts a little easier, but it is coated and holds better edge than the ATS-34. It's also not as brittle. Good luck and enjoy! I think you should check out the Busse line of knives as well. For more info, go to www.bladeforums.com. (http://www.bladeforums.com.)
