I was on a overpass when it hit. Pretty good roller for a 5'r.
DDSSDV- You in the state in 93? I was living in L.A. when Landers went off. I was running out of the house when that one hit.

I'd still rather have the occasional earthquake than tornados or hurricanes every year, though.

We felt it here in San Diego. We had a class going on (right on the waterfront of 32nd street). They were on lunch and I fell to the ground when the ground shook (back injury from the quake right guys?? LOL!!). I told my boss I needed worker's comp.....he said only if the Coronado Bridge fell directly on top of me.....
Some at work felt it in North San Diego County. I didn't - was sitting at a subway eating lunch. None of the guys I was eating with mentioned it either.
I'd reckon if I were in the office I would have noticed as the building is old.

When we had the Loma Prieta Quake, in 1989, "OZZIE," the Golden Retriever, across the street, got up off the sidewalk where he had been laying, got the goofiest look on his face and let out a long howl, like I'd never heard before. He almost looked drunk. Very stupid look on his face. Less than a half hour later, the quake hit. I became convinced, after that, that animals are aware of these things before we feel them. I have no idea why.

I was just a bit north of the epicenter by Cal Poly in Pomona. It shook a long time, maybe 30 seconds, real herky jerky stuff. I was in a market getting something to drink when the signs started swaying and I was trying to hold on to the counter. When the glass bottles on the shelves started crashing on the floor I headed for the door and bumped into another customer who was unazzin the store too. It was still shakin hard while we stood outside. Got to the work truck and the fire radios were lightin up with traffic about the quake. I later drove though downtown Pomona and the old brick buildings had some brick damage where they fell off into the streets.

But then again they could have given warning and we just didn't notice it since cats like to go batshit crazy just before the quake hits. Maybe they have a different reaction several mins away from it actually happening.

LOL, I'm back at Westlake Village and was walking here in the office when it hit. I thought it was my stomach since I hadn't eaten all day. It freaked a few people out up here, mostly because the majority of the team is from somewhere else.

I remember the last quake I was in, I had my feet up on a desk that was suspended from a flexible frame, and I was in a chair with a pnuematic lift... I didn't feel it at all and wondered wtf everyone was doing running around all panicky.
Ole crusty bastard

I experienced a small quake back in 76. I'm in Oki, base housing, upstairs with crank out windows. My wife wakes up and asks me why I'm half out of the window. Sometimes, it's every man for himself, or at 3AM a earthquake will panic those who thought that they had their sh-t together.:o
