Sounds like BS not TS. Since you wanna know, but don't have a need to know, then TS is tough shit.

Seriously, there are alot of guys around that can answer questions if you have them.

PIECE OF ADVICE: Research your questions by using the Search Engine on this site PRIOR to asking. Many topics have been covered extensively in the past.

Welcome aboard.

I find it difficult to believe that you're only in DEP and already have your clearance. Sounds like MEPS b.s. to me. Good to see some things never change.

Let me get something straight here. You RECENTLY entered the DEP program, and you already have a finalized TS? Hmmmmm...

It is ironic that you have inadvertently created a personnel security topic here, because I spoke with a buddy of mine yesterday who happens to work for Defense Security Service (DSS-the folks who perform background investigations for DOD)as a Special Agent. In our conversation I recall him stating that they are still extremely backlogged, and that they will be for quite some time.

Now I could be wrong here--and please let me know if I am. But I seriously doubt you would be a high-priority case for them. Unless of course you enlisted as a 98x(D). The (D) is the Delta Force option--similar to a Ranger contract.

Ask your recruiter about it and get back to me, Stud.

I sclewed up when I posted that. I was a little confused at the time due to swamp gas. I should have said that I passed my background check (SORRY) not that I have my clearance yet. I will try not to say sumpin stupid like that again without actually thinkin about what I said.

Ahhhhhhh. The learning curve......

That's a much better response, Stud. Your recruiter probably did a Local Records Check, submitted your paperwork for a National Agency Check, and got it back with no unfavorable results. And he/she has probably got you thinking you're Secret Squirrel because of it.

You still have a long way to go until the Central Clearance Facility adjudicates your clearance. So sit back, relax, and figure out who you're going to take to prom in the next few months.

Good luck!

BTW, cool screen name...hehehaha...right.

Ha ha Secret Squirrel! By the way all the screen names I wanted wouldn't work to well so I settled on this, its easy to remember.

NEUMATIK,

Check you're e-mail. Your sarcasm was too discreet for my own good, so you can ignore it now. http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/wink.gif

If you use the "cow eyes" when you ask, Kristen might take pity on you. You could be so fortunate.

Speaking of new, that would include me as well. I sub'ed just a few days ago. Quality
message board all the way around.

So, anybody know the spectral emmissions of the new Y-22 jet aircraft? How about the stabilization system for a Paladin gun?

Just making conversation
