Hey to all qualified Combat Divers. Just curious on the toughness of Scuba school. Everyone I talk to tells me it is the scariest thing you can go through. Others say it is the most physically demanding school.

Also what is this harassment swim that everyone I talk to is like "oh my god...the instructors tried to drowned me!!" ???? this guy lost his mind, right?

thanks to all the help

All military dive schools have a harrassment/confidence phase where the instructors will test you in a controlled environment (the pool) to make sure that you don't freak out the first time you are placed in a stressfull situation without the benifit of air.

The reason it is hard and scary is because in the open ocean there are no sides of the pool to go and rest on. The shore line is only a best stroke away.
RAT OUT!!!

Ahhhhh... the open ocean, its kinda like a long ruck march, just take a knee, wait for the Twinkie truck, and swallow the golden pill...
