Cotton Mouth

Can any divers here tell me what "Cotton Mouth" means? I heard this diver say that he got cotton mouth after diving.

Basically, the air pumped into the tanks is dried and filtered both to prevent impurities, and also to stop corrosion on the inside of the tank. The dry air is breathed in and dries out the mouth, leading to a feeling of "cotton mouth".
