View Full Version : CDQC
I've recently heard that there's a Navy SCUBA school in Hawaii that the Amry can send dive q'd. Is this a CDQC like the one in Key West?
That course used to be tailored for submarine sailors. There may be another one on line now, but back in the 80's that was a modified course for submariners.
There is a requirement that subs have a small team of SCUBA divers (3-5, counting an officer)to accomplish some routine inspection and light work.
Try the CNET web site, they would have the complete and usually up to date info on courses open to other services.

Scout, the Hawaii school like said before is for fleet type scuba and basic diving support command use(Seals, EOD, etc.). The combat swimmer course in Florida is a advanced course that gets into the closed circut scuba realm and operational areas of combat swimmer activity(ship attack, compass course, pace lines,etc.). Seal Teams 1,3,5 all have their own 2 week combat swimmer courses for their platoons before deployment. Originally posted by Scout:
