There's a program for Inmates who qualify when they are near parole, to go through the Chino Men's Correctional Inst. Commercial Diver Certification School.

Judging from the level of PT, and Academic requirements of the program, I'm certain the graduates are some of the most qualified in the field of Commercial Diving.

Does anyone know if Chino State's Commercial Diving program is highly regarded or if their graduates are sought after in the career field.

(No, I'm not planning on attending the school)

thanks,
-DCH

Yeah but can you stop them from stealing everything? These guys are still criminals.

I've had occasion to work with some of the Chino hands over the last twenty-plus years.

As with any group, you've got your good one's and bad one's....honest one's and not-so-honest one's. Competent and incompetent. Some were just never cut out for water work but got into the program for the diversion while incarcerated.

I paid a visit to the program once as a guest lecturer. Very well run. And, the PT was first rate.

Screw the Chino divers....We've had a few come and go down here, and most of them weren't worth spit...In the last two years I have pretty much left the Commercial Diving industry in favor of a contract as Senior SubSea Engineer with one the world's leaders in Oil/Gas production and completion systems...

DFC and RAT, LTNS...Hope all is well with you and yours....

Hey bro,

Since Polyana is trying to ETS, and heading north after the first of the year, I thought I'd drop the invite to you to come visit! If you're not out rigging around then. Call a brother and let me know your plans. If we can get a few jackasses Charlotte side, we may actually get to tear this town down.
