I just bought a new Ranger BC... from all my diving experience I have found that this is the best overall BC on the market. Any opinions?

Hi LPalli,

I'm not familiar with the Ranger BCD. What specifically do you like about it? Is it a traditional style jacket BCD?

Personally, I'm a big USD fan and use a USD Calypso for most of my diving (both technical and recreation). For me, it provides the best fit and function, especially after a few minor modifications. I also like the USD Sea Master with lots of gadget-hangers for technical diving. I've used the old mil-style horse-collar (but don't like them) and am in general not a big fan of back-inflating BCD's (unless we talking cave diving).

What reg/console setup do you use?

I like the ranger because it is very durable. Also, it has integrated weights which is basically a neccessity for dry suit diving. It is back inflated but very confortable none the less.
I just use my team's equipment right now for my reg and console because I don't have enough $$$ for a good one yet.
I occassionally use a Posiedon with a computer but I'm not sure what type of computer it is though.. I'll find out today when I hit the lake.

Dive Deep, Fin hard.
