If anyone has any info as to where I can purchase surplus military closed circuit rebreathers, please let me know, For some of our missions we have decided to try to implement them....Thanks

I'd stay away from surplus rebreathers. It's your life you're talking about. Also, I don't think rebreathers are surplused out on the market.

Also you would be better off with a civilian model. The military models are just about impossible to get parts for in the civilian world. Rebreathers are still in the novelty mode and most scubi divers think that the new thing is cool. I can thank them for some great chamber training.

'Surplus' rebreathers are actually fairly easy to come by. They can however be expensive:

MK 15 family (15,15.5 and 16) between $10.000 and $20.000

LAR V between a 1000 (if you're lucky) and 5000 dollars.

FGT about $2000

Shiva+ $40.000
