To all BP Agents,

My brother is taking the language assesment test and is wondering what level of proficiency one should have in Spanish if they are to take the test in that language. He has an elementary grasp of Spanish but is worried that if he takes the test for Spanish instead of the "made up" language he could flub it.

Advice?

Overland,

Not being a native speaker myself, I found the artificial language assesment test fairly easy. As your brother speaks spanish, he should take not the spanish test but the artificial test. The only classmates of mine that passed the spanish test had taken coarses in high school and college and learned the proper way to speak spanish. That was the only way they passed the test. I have heard other agents that took the spanish test the first try and failed, so they took the artificial test and passed. If you got any other questions give me a holler.
