We had the kids over for Sunday dinner and to watch the Bears game yesterday. My wife decided to roast a turkey for dinner. About 4 pm she took it out of the oven and put it on the kitchen counter. After she had pulled the dark meat off, she went outside with my grandson to look at the frogs by the pond. All of a sudden, I hear one of my boys hollering like Darrin McGavin in the kitchen. My Austrailian Shepherds had gotten on the counter and were chowing down on the rest of the turkey like the dogs in the movie "Christmas Story."

I had to laugh at the whole episode and suggested we all go out for a Chinese dinner. Fortunately, the dark meat survived, and my wife made gravy with it to put over the mashed potatoes.

Gotta loves dogs. They figure if they can reach it it's theirs.

We watch it once per season too. Classic. You'll put your eye out!

My (late) Great Pyrenees, Sugar Bear, ran off with one of our turkeys long ago. Too funny to stay mad at him for long.

Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra...ra-ra-ra-ra...

I love that movie.

Especially when the owner takes care of the duck's smirk.

Go figure that quote comes from the PI. I do rembember eating dog at one of the local fiestas in Manilla. We used to laugh at all of the three legged dogs running around Angeles City. We figured they must of been the bad tasting ones.

Whenever one of the dogs eats a chicken or gets into the eggs, POW, doggie for dinner!
