SAR Techs

Got a few queries regarding the quieter and oft forgotten side of Canadian elite forces...
Are there female SAR Techs? Anybody know how many Search And Rescue Technicians there are? What the physical tests are to get in?

I believe there is still only one female SARTECH and her name is M.Cpl. Tammy Negraeff. She graduated in August '97 and is currently serving with 442 Sqn at 19 Wing in Comox. An aside; she graduated the same week that "GI Jane" was released in the theatres so there were a few snide remarks about her being "SARTECH Jane".
