NO VIDEO?

The other day, i called the CF recruiting center, not to recruit( iam already in the CF) but to ask them if they know anything about the JTF recruiting video. This Captain answered and told me IT DOESNT EXIST!!! Now can anybody out there say this is true or is there a video, there must be. He told me that they don't want the public to know much about JTF which is understandable. He also said they are recruiting this year. I think that i may try another route to get the video, which i am pretty sure exists, seeing how at JTFs web site there is documentry footage link, which doesnt work, but i know its out there!!

I remember seeing something on CBC part of a video or something. It wasn't the whole video or anything. I remember a helicopter with a guy repelling out of it, a sniper and an observer crawling through the grass and a bunch of JTF guys stacking outside a room getting ready to clear it. You aren't dreaming there is something out there but we are not like Americans with with about our SF on the Learning Channel and Discovery Channel so its going to be a btich getting hold of it.

I dunno if it's possible to get a hold of it, but it exists. The JTF recruiting material in my unit says that anyone who wants to can attend an orientation session on set dates where they show the videos, and have operators on hand to answer questions. You need your CO's (or somebody's) permission to attend, but there's no commitment if you go.
Try asking CBC for the video, or maybe something under the freedom of information acts - anyway, it won't be easy to get the video, but good luck!

The best way to see the video is to call the JTF recruiting line and arrange to go to the next selection info session. Contact your orderly room or check your units RO's for dates/places near you.

There you'll find a RealPlayer format video of a segment that aired on the 'National Magazine' in Canada. It includes a number of clips from the recuiting tape.
