I'm not going this summer (best they could offer me was working the Canteen all summer.. yippee), but I've been there and a lot of guys in my unit are there. What did you want to know, I might be able to help you out.

I'm going for the second part of the reserves infantry officer course. The 7 week phase 3 thing.
It sucks that its not even transferable to reg force cuz I've been thinking of going back in full time. They wouldn't even let me go to Phase training initially cuz I have a degree already, so they sent me on the reserves one, even though I have prior service.
From what I understand however, (someone can help me out on this) once you get to Captains rank and higher all courses are equivalent. So does that mean that once I get my Captains bars that I can then go reg force??? Doesn't make sense to me but who knows.

I'll be on the QL4 Machine Gun course starting on Sunday June 11th then I will be on Demo platoon at Atlantic Training Centre for the rest of the Summer until ARCON. I'll be staying in M-5 all summer I think. Who knows I could be attacking your position. Let me know who you are and I won't piss in your waterbottle when you are sleeping.

From what I've heard Phase 4 is a Reg force Qual. It would be cool if you got to do it with the LAV IIIs but that probably won't happen. Phase 3 is a bitch. Have fun on your 12 day patrols through Scotty Dog

51-18, well played Canucks, at least this time it was rugby and not a brawl. I was particularly impressed with Morgan Williams, I think he's a great scrum-half, and of course Al Charron is one of the hardest men in the game.

To Cree Warrior: Rugby is the MANS version of american football.
To Baboon: Did ya hear about AB's v Tonga? 102-0 (and the ball was crappy)

Thanks Huey, yes I saw the highlights of that game, Troy Flavell is a machine! To Snake: Aussie Rules? You mean those guys in the sleeveless t-shirts and tight little shorts? Talk about soap-droppers! To Canucks: strangely enough most of the Canadian team are ex-hockey players. This isn't totally unrelated to spec ops, apparently the SAS play a particularly ferocious brand of rugby, more guys get injured in the inter-squadron cup than in any international matches.
