It will be interesting to follow this story and see what information they release. 100 agents to a town of 109, goodness. Must have been expecting something or someone special to be there.

Now I wonder what & where the actual target is that they were expecting to be there. With that buisness only having a handfull of employees, and no arrests made, that makes me wonder what kind of recon was done of the target before they sent 100 people in. Seems pretty odd to me (but then again, I have 0 knowledge on how they do their buisness).

Islamic - Halal butcher shop. This will draw a very devout group of workers. This was not an immigration raid. They were looking for someone or something else.

Immigration violations make great probable cause ;)

Who cares.

Well I do if the FBI just wasted millions of dollars in resources invading a town of 109 people with 100 agents and fucked up and didn't have cause or gain anything from it.

I question the wisdom of letting the info hang out there for 2 weeks.

......"Listen up, FBIs raiding Hamid's place in 2 weeks, nobody say nuttin"
......"Hey, I'm going to go drive by that place that's getting raided next week"
____"Hey Hamid, why is Sheriff Billy always driving by all the time recently?"

No eyes on?

Assumptions. It has been my experience that things aren't always as they seem. The possibility of course exists that the situation was FUBAR. It is also possible that other options were in play. I don't live tax free, I pay my fair share and I'm glad to see folks out trying to get the job done.

No eyes on?

It was being remotely viewed at all times.

Crossthread points?

Didn't really have much coverage in Chicago, just a short item that I saw in the Trib. Part of an ongoing investigation, possibly having to do with recent developments in several states, including Illinois.

Looks like a couple of guys plotting to attack the Danish Newspaper that published the Mohammed cartoon in Denmark.

I can't wait to see the reaction to the t-shirt I designed based on that cartoon.

I want one!

I've been busy with some other stuff, but here is one of the iterations I came up with, probably won't make the final cut.

But you get the general idea.
