If i'm not mistaken, President Barack Obama has commited a felony by accepting the position of chairman of the U.N. Security Council while actively serving the government of the United States of America. (U.S. Constitution, Article 2, Section 1). He has also violated the Logan Act prior to taking office, by participating in a meeting with the Bilderberg Group in Chantilly, Virginia.

Is it really that hard for people to focus on the horrible performance that this POTUS is giving the nation? Do black helos and nefarious back-room conspiracies have to worm their way into conversations and deflect serious debate about that crappy job performance and what we can do about it?

You would be referring to Article 1, section 9:
No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.
Taking a chair position with a council that congress has approved participation in is a felony?

Please explain.
How does chairing the UN security council violate Article 2, section 1?
As to the Logan Act... that covers citizens with no governmental authority negotiating on behalf of the United States.
1. There is no evidence proving he attended such a meeting.
2. Even if he had attended (though his whereabouts are accounted for) you would have to not only prove that he attended, but that he negotiated with foreign powers on behalf of the US government... and he was a US Senator, not a private citizen.

He chaired a meeting. He wasn't sworn in as Chairman. Big difference.
Read the Logan Act. The Bilderbergs aren't a government. The Logan Act doesn't apply.

These whacked out threads that keep popping up do nothing to advance or encourage discussion of real issues.
Some people need to figure out when to use commander in chief and when to use president as well. They aren't interchangeable in most situations.
