Assault Pioneers can wear a full beard. It's a tradition.

I knew about this tradition goin on in the French Foreign Legion, reminiscent of Napoleonic-era bearded sappers, but thought it was long gone in CAF. Long live traditions, then!

Granted by Queen Victoria. Been a good excuse ever since. And no, I wasn't there.

Good way to pick up in Pet, look like a Chetnik. I'm pretty sure that most of the guys in Pioneers are either married or don't plan on it.

I saw some pictures of those guys a while back on tour somewhere and they were trying to split these two groups of ppl up so they werent fight or something. And these guys are huge compared to the lil shit disturbers and the photo has one of the Pioneers pickin a guy by one hand or maybe it was on his shoulder and carrying the guy to the other side of the bridge. It was pretty funny.

That was in Mitrovica, Kosovo. A large crowd of Kosovar Albanians was to make a symbolic crossing of the bridge which leads to the Serb part of town. And yes, there was quite a famous picture of a certain pioneer WO carrying a protester away on his shoulder.

Where can I find a copy of that pic?
There's a photo of 1RCR tear gassing Kosovars on their homepage, I believe because they were trying to cross a certain bridge. Quite a nice pic, probably the same event.
