Regiments

This boards been a little slow lately, maybe a new topic for everyone to stew over.
I've been doing a lot of reading about the Regimental system lately. I was curious on what everyone had to think on how the Regimental System which we inherited from the British is going to fit into changes in the 21st century. Any thoughts?
