In the spirit of just keeping the discussion on this forum going...
I'm off to the U of Ottawa in the fall. Plan on joining an army reserve unit. Question is which one? I know The Govoner General's Foot Guards (the guys in the scarlet tunics on Parliament Hill in the summer) and The Cameron Highlanders (they have a pipe band, since I play) are in Ottawa. I think there are more infantry units, but can't remember them off the top of my head. Been to the above websites for the two, doesn't tell me a whole lot. Just curious if anyone here has any experience with either of these units or knows anything at all about them? Tasking in the brigade? I don't really expect much, I think most of the people on here are from B.C., Alberta, or the Maritimes, but it's worth a shot. I you can, great. If not not, whatever...
