Eye Requirements

Ok, I was looking to see if anyone could tell me the time that I must wait after having Lasik eye surgery?
Oh if it makes a difference I will be going got infantry/field engineer

It is supposed to be a year, but I didnt even tell anyone when I got my eyes zapped. If its done well with no scarring a good optometrist wont be able to see that you've had it done anyway. Otherwise they will have to send your med file for approval to the ONE doctor in Canada that approves sketchy or questionable applications. (By the way most people end up in this catagory).

ok, where did you have your eyes done?
im getting mine done at TLC and they are supposidly the best place to get them done at.
But I guess I will just have to wait and find out.

Gimbel Eye Centre. It costs a little more but for your eyes, its worth it.
My uncle is an optomestrist and he recommended Gimbel, as they have been doing it the longest and frequently upgrade their equipment.

You might want to get PRK instead of LASIK, as for a soldier its more sturdy.

In what ways do you mean?
I know that PRK is the only way you can get into SEALs, not Lasik, but I think there is a waiver now, but that doesnt apply to us anyways. But thanks for the help,
