Those with some Philly knowledge of the area around the field help a brother out.

I am heading up early so that I can watch the Ravens game (unless they change game time). I would like to find someplace close so I can walk to the game. But, I would also like to find some parking outside the field (near metro or whatever they have).

Yes... I am going by myself... but meeting people at the game .... and I will not be wearing any Team garb at all.

Any suggestions

Take this for what it's worth - I don't frequent the stadium area much. That said, the stadiums are on the periphery of the city. You choices of what is within walking distance is pretty limited. There is a lot of parking down by the stadiums, and there are plenty of buses and trains going to and from. The mass transit is SEPTA, and their web site is:

Some quick map recon shows that there is a couple places to hang out near the stadium. There is a restaurant/sports bar called Chickie and Pete's that is north on Broad St. (away from the river), and then left on Packer Ave.

I've never been there, but it seems popular. Expect heavy traffic and lots of crowds before and after the game.

Good luck, and be safe.

Tow,

Stay in center city like the double tree two blocks from City Hall. The subway is across the street and it will drop you right outside the stadium. You can hang out at McFadden's in Citizens Park and pregame if it too cold out. The Holiday Inn is close but sucks so do yourself a favor and look for something near market and broad st.
