Get someone to find it in a recent CANFORGEN. I'm pretty sure it's in there. And I think your major has to be related to the applicable trade or something.

Alright, I've already applied, so here's the deal...
1) You need to apply through your Brigade Personnel Selection Officer (BPSO)
2) The benefits are similar to those offered to P Reserve officers attending university. This programn - called PEP - is only for NCM's (sorry garret) Pointy heads have their own thing.
The deal is that you receive the cost of half of your tution, fees, and books for the year you just completed, up to $2,000. You can do this for four years, and receive up to $8,000. The only criteria is that you spent the year parading (70% attendance) and at school (in other words, it's done retroactively) So I'm getting the money back for the 2000-2001 school year.
Rumour has it this program will be expanded in the near future to include ALL tuition.
It's non-taxable, but if you quit the army within a yera or something then it is taxed. Paperwrk is relatively straight forward. You apply for the program and apply to have the reimbursement, and then each year after that you send in the forms asking for money back.
Anyways, get in contact with your BPSO, he'll explain everything to you. There's another program for P Reserve guys that served some huge amount of Class B time, but not to many of us qualify for that.

Join the rest of us.
I don't know much but this is what i know.
The Education Reimbursment awards eligble members either half the cost of their tuition or two thousand dollars. Since most ppl are full-time students anyways, that's an easy two thousand bucks in your pocket. There's three forms to it. A, B, and C. A desribes who's eligble (full time or part-time university or co-op students with good attendance and work record, or students at community college taking courses similar to their trade), B is what you submit at the beginning of the school year and C is submitted at the end of the school year. I also had to file for a CF 1007 (?). The forms go to the local BPSO i think.
I think this is the first time it's been done (?), so you can claim for last year as well as this year. All in all it's another kick in the nuts for the army if you ask me.
Now that i look at it there's more forms too. I think they're for reg force members though.. Oh well, I'm just as confused as you guys are.

The last thing I read at work about it is that the two programs have been merged into one program. Basically theres one program for all ranks. I can't get a strait answer anywhere. I'll have to find out who my brigade PSO is.
