CADPAT issue

Found out today that my unit is getting some CADPAT stuff in March although I bet we get it alittle later then that. Can't remember exactly what we're getting but its something like: 3 X uniforms
1 X boonie hat
2 X rank slip ons

Theres more too it but I can't really remember. I think that goes for all LFAA and not just my unit. My question to you jackasses is, are any other areas going to have it before the summer? This is important to me because I'll be on Phase 3 this summer and If only LFAA has the kit I'll standout and I should paint a big target on my back. I think our crappy webbing on CADPAT uniforms looks shitty too. Maybe I just watch Fashion File too often.

Well, rumour around here is that 31 Brigade is getting combat sets (some say one set, other swear it will be three), the new boonie hat, and the new Gortex boots (praise be the Lord) sometime in the Feb/March/April timeframe. Of course, I'll believe it when the CQ actually hands me the stuff and makes me sign the *&$#ing paperwork. No word on LBVs, rucks, ballistic vests, etc. We already have a WO and a MWO who were just on tour come back with some sets, although the junior dudes got fuckall besides a few pair of desert boots.

On a brighter note, all of us who finished QL3 this summer are finally gonna get our Goretex shit the first parade night of the new year. Jacket, thermals, coveralls, gloves, parka, all that jazz. Maybe next ex I won't freeze my balls off as much LOL.

We just got the hats. Last I heard it'll be another 2 yrs, hopefully, for general issue to the mo out here. I have no idea why this is as it's availible at the all bases out here in LFWA. One of our sgt's has a set for recruiting purposes.
Goretex boot issue at CFB Esquimalt on Jan15, 0800-1400 for us too.

Really? Over here on the mainland we ain't heard nothing about the new stuff for months. Got fitted for the boots in september, that's it.

I believe it's probably because of the bases on the Island. If we didn't have Comox or Esquimalt, we'd see nothing. Edmonton has had it for some time. I'll bet the LER's will get it first. Should we start a pool?

Just an update on my own post:
March 02
1RNBR will get: 3 X CADPAT shirts and pants
1 X Widebrimmed hat
5 X socks (liner and shell)
1 X wet weather boots
3 X CADPAT slip-ons, name
tags, and velcro flags.

W're required to turn in OD uniforms and bush hat.
