i´m from Argentina and I´m building my self a sniper rifle. I had a Remington 700 ADL 30-06 SPRG and I will change the barrel for a Heavy barrel (made by a Military Factory here in ARG). I was thinqing about buying an Ultimate Sniper Stock, what do you thing about it?, what do you thing about the rifle´s caliber?. Any advice will be welcome

I'm not exactly a Plaster fan but they (Plaster and Choate) designed a great stock. you may need to do a little inletting with a dremel tool for a better fit though. But, I will say we were impressed with the stock overall. We did take Plasters name off the side with a dremel and fill it up with bisonite before we painted it though. Just looked cheesy to me. Other great stocks are H-S Precision and the McMillan line. You wont go wrong with any of these stocks. as for your choice of caliber, I love the 30-06 round. There is no other 30 caliber round with such a variety of bullet weights and designs to choose from. Although if you are into sniping there is a lot more data out there on the .308 as it is much more common for a sniper round. Just my opinion. Take care and good hunting.

Try a Mcmillan stock on a Chandler 7mm.

I shot a 22-250 cal out of plasters stock and it held up well. The only thing i found that was bad for me was carrying it around. Because of how the butt of the stock is. The 30-06 is a very good cal. it got carlos hathcock through vietnam. The round has a little rise and fall to it but overall it is alsome.
thanks
