Online EMT-B - UNLV Las Vegas

After 3 years in development, UNLV has now opened its online EMT-Basic course. In a nutshell, it involves signing up as a UNLV student for its Educational Outreach programs. Once registered for the course, books bundles are sent to any address worldwide and students have up to 1 year to complete the didactic/online portion. Once finished with the online portion, students must make the trek to Las Vegas and spend 5 days completing the "skills bootcamp". Successful completion of this course will enable students to take the EMT-Basic National Registry test.

I'm guessing you will have to complete the skills portion of the EMT-B before enrolling (starting) in the EMT-I course, is this correct?

Unfortunately, the EMT Basic certification will be a pre-req for signing up as an EMT-I.
