SAKO TRG

Has anybody tried the Sako TRG in .300 WinMag or .338 LapuaMag ? If so, what do you think of it ?

There is an article in Accurate Rifle (formally Tactical Shooter) magazine this month about the Sako.

It has my interest as well right now.

Yep, I know, that's why I'm asking. I think it definately looks promising. It says in the article that it's less expensive than other rifles as well, but no price is mentioned. The tests performed seemed a bit too "shallow", I'd like to know if anybody has any extensive experience with this or similar Sako rifles.

ANYTHING is cheaper than the mentioned AI .338LM, gesh, now that took some research by the writers.

The TRG 42 in the civvie version is 12000 FIM and the Finnish army TRG 42 is 14100 FIM in our weapons dealership.Prices dont include shipping and handling.

As of what my dealer can tell me, they are RARE at the moment. Something about a change over in production and importer.

The TRG's should cost you around $2700. Try accuflite. Last time I checked they had a couple of 42's and a 21.

If your looking for a TRG-90 which i strongly reconmend in 308 it will run your roughly about 1500-2500 but that doesn't enclud a scope. In my experiance with this rifle it is worth the wait and if you do come across one don't pass it by.
