Has anyone herd of the Tasco Super Sniper scope, ive herd alot about it and it sounds real well. A few years ago Leupold told the military that they where thinking of discontiueing the M3A so they asked Tasco to design a scope to military specs so they did, it has 1/4 moa 10,16,20 power and can with stand the recoil of a 50cal. When the scope first came out it sold for about $800 but know you can get them for $399 to $299 if you can find them, i just ordered one and I guess I'll just find out.

JY or someone

What is a 1/4 MOA on a scope?

I think he was referring to the increment of adjustment on the windage and elevation knobs. If there is something else...? Tasco has never been noted for superior optics.

josepy,

MOA (minute of angle or 1/60 of a degree) is the elevation and windage adjustment angle from the mounted position. Most quality scopes have 1/4 MOA adjustment increments/clicks/knob divisions.

Hope this helps!

I had a friend who had one mounted on a .50 bolt gun. He said it did ok but was still a Tasco. The clicks wore out on it in short order and the glass is actually plastic. Bottom line: You get what you pay for. Every single time.

there are actually two versions of this scope, one is called the Tasco Sniper Scope, its the one thats $299 and is available in 10, 16, and 20 power, The Super Sniper on the other hand is the scope contracted by the US Navy for its sniper weapons. its $599 and the optics i would rate them as an excellent value considering the money involved.

I've got one! Mounted it on a 7mm.Mag
shot it about 6 times, now it shoots 8inches
low at 100yrds with no elevation left!
I think it would make a fine tent peg if I
could sharpen one end!
