HI, I just bought a Remington 700 VS and was hoping to change its stock for a better one, my question which ones are the best, I have researched a bit, and I have found out that Choate stock are very good and also Mc Millan makes some excellent ones, but which one is more suitable to tactical/precision shooting?

thanks in advance

The one that is one it(HS Precision) is a good stock. If you really want a new one, I suggest a mcmillan. Which ever one you feel comfortable with, that is, after all, the most important thing.

The H&S stock you have is as good as any. If you want to do tactical shooting a good clasic style stock is hard to beat. The H&S is a good tough stock. I have used them for years. One of my rifles is on its 3rd barrel with the same old VS stock. Good luck!!
