Sitting there with a straight face and not saying something hilariously insulting is a special skill, and that is why admirals get the big bucks.

I hear that this clown also thinks that the boot of Italy is getting ready to kick Sicily out of the Mediterranean.
What's scary is that this moron is a law maker whose decisions can affect the lives of American citizens.

Well, I thought I saw a smirk.
You did. It was very slight. I give him alot of credit for not bursting out into hysterical laughter.
Saw this earlier and shook my head. Its a sad statement on those people who elected this idiot to office, but then I hear he is a step above Cynthia McKinney.
The Admiral deserves a lot of credit. To only let out a barely visible smirk after than whopper is amazing. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the car ride back to the Pentagon though.

The folks behind the Admiral were trying to find something to do other than laugh. I loved it. Scary, but he probably isn't the least intelligent person we have in Congress either. No way in hell was he speaking metaphorically either. Just tell him we use dolphins to hold it up.

Well sir, we already have a plan in place for just that... construction of housing and base facilities will be spread on opposite sides of the island to maintain a balance and in the event of large formations or events in one area, we will move heavy equipment to the oposite side of the island to counter.

That would have been most excellent if he could have dead panned that with a straight face. Alas, in the world we live in, his career would have probably been finished.

I completely lost it at that response. Awesome.

Is the same rumor still floating around about Okinawa? I remember being told about the three thin pillars that held that island up.
If I were the Congressman, I'd claim to be drunk, you can't be that stupid sober.

That SOB needs to be doing something more appropriate to his intelligence, like buffing shoes at the airport or maybe passing out paper towels in the Congressional shitters.
Everyone in his district that voted for him should have their citizenship stripped and they should be exiled to some place horrible, like Liberia. S/F.....Ken M

What a fucking idiot. He talked like he had no fucking idea where he was. Like a senile old bastard at a nursing home arguing with his shoe about whether to use the "grape jelly door or the malfeasance of the falcon spinner".
Jesus Christ. The Admiral should have just stood up and shot him. Give him a medal for defending the country. haha.

Its a metaphor for the "Vote for me and I will give you entitlements" philosophy that is bankruptinig this nation. How did he get HEP C? Why is he still serving?

He probably fucked Tommy and/or Pamela.
Holy fuck. Kudos to the admiral for seriously not blowing water out his nose, or some shit.
Maybe the Guamanders need to not only worry about the island tipping over but also a giant pod of orcas coming along and working as a team to push huge waves of water over the island. Since the island is so thin, at it's most geographical place, and all....

I would have been more impressed if the Admiral did laugh.. idiots like that need to know how fucking stooOoopid they are, especially if they are running the country *shudders.*
The measurement discussion was classic moronese. I demand a refund of the portion of my taxes that make up his inflated salary.
BUT seriously, my Dad was stationed on Guam twice. We worried daily about the Island capsizing.....

I wonder if someone had the guts to pull him aside later and explain how stupid that was. If so, I'm eagerly awaiting the backpedaling to justify those concerns. I'm leaning toward "I was obviously kidding" or the ever favorite "I was obviously speaking metaphorically"

You read his mind:

That's what I love about politicians. No matter how low you set the bar, some idiot will just limbo right underneath it.

You know, I hesitate to say this but I think he might actually be telling the truth there. I watched the video again a few times and it looks like he might be smiling when he says it. It's tough to say because he has his hand right by his mouth, but I think he smiles right around or right after he says it.
It's kind of hard to judge because he really does sound like an inarticulate dope in general, but I'm 50/50 that he might be joking.

If someone had asked me to guess what disease he was afflicted with I wouldn't have guessed Hep C. I would have guessed Terminal Paresis. That would have at least explained his diminished capacity.

IMHO if he is disabled with anything that could effect intellectual capacity, he shouldn't be in congress or any elected position, much less serving on the Armed Services commitee. Edited to add: This is fucking nuts!
Johnson to Ken Salazar (US Sec. of the Interior): "Uh....ummm...Could you please tell me....uh...how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

I mentioned in another thread a while back his questions about why classified material hadn't been briefed to the Committee, when there were signs for no electronic devices etc. during the classified briefing was going on. Which was when he asked the question.

Really, no matter how stupid it sounds coming out of his mouth, nothing surprises me when it comes to his remarks anymore. As I also pointed out in that past thread, he took Cynthia McKinney's seat. That district has set a really low bar and I just don't see any improvement in the near future.
Alan Grayson has said bizarre, stupid stuff etc. But I have some faith that the people of Orlando will can him.... Johnson, not holding my breath.
