Just wondering what daily life is like as a Night Stalker and how often/long deployments are?

Also what can I expect during Green Platoon?

sorry if these questions have been asked, I tried a search and came up with nothing

Great, many, short to long, and an ass kicking for an Army aviation unit. PT, Rucking, Land nav, shooting, hand to gland, dunker, etc. etc.

Course it could be easy now...let me tell you back when it was hard....

do they take guys fresh out of AIT? Also what can I expect while being deployed.. If you can't tell me due to security reasons I understand.

Yes, everyone one needs junior enlisted soldiers.

Expect to work hard.

Go be, do, and know.

(disclaimer) I am not a Night Stalker, never been, never will be, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Select last night:

There was no chow hall... they went out to the back 40 or Oak Grove everyday and killed their food... or while in Green Platoon, ate it raw..

back to my lane

Actually, in the beginning we stayed in more Holiday Inns than anywhere else! (That was until Embassy Suites got started up with free booze)

What exactly does a medic in the 160th do? Are they flight medics that provide medical support in flight? do they ever get out of the helicopter on missions?

Landon,

You haven't even shipped yet. Stay focused on the shit you need to know about now, not 4 years from now.
