Netting could be interesting. I don't know about the burlap though, seems like it could be mucho expensive for something you're gonna rip into shreds, fray as much as possible, spray paint a million times only to realize it sucks so much you might as well just dye it signal red and set fire to it... http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/rolleyes.gif

I make a ghillie coat for hunting, I used mesh on the hood to keep it light, I also used the mesh on a hat for hunting. It seems to work well.

The burlap pictured is the same brand that is sold in wal-mart. Just be sure to stay between the same threads when you are cutting strips and it works fine although the paint on the material is sometimes a pain in the ass to shred and fray. I liked the 3 inch rolls that we had in school that were already colored. But, I recently helped a friend make a suit to do some video-surveillance with and it works Ok. Haven't seen that netting before though.

I've bought some of camo burlap before. Its ok for most things, but it is hard to come apart and fray like uncoated burlap.
I'm guessing its a silkscreening process that is used to color the burlap. Which almost acts like a glue to keep it together.
And since its only colored on one side, you can have patchs of light/dark spots all over whatever you are trying to hide.
But it does work for the most part.
