I'm getting ready to make my own ghille suit and i want to know where the hell i can get all the stuff need to make one and what is the best materials to use. Making one for a woodland terain. Would appreciate your tow sense.

I ask again, why are you making a Ghillie Suit ? Do you plan on wearing for Holloween and going trick or treating ? Are you going to wear it for hunting ? Or are you planing on lying in wait along the freeway, and shooting at passing motorist ?

Unless you are in the military, and involved in an actual Sniper program, the need for a Ghillie Suit is pretty limited. For hunting ? Animals can't distinguish (on sight) a person wearing flourescent orange, from a bush. For paint ball ? I don't think you'll be stalking into any FFP's under observation, and waitng to take a shot with a paintball gun.

So I ask again, why are you making a Ghillie Suit ?

I am making a Ghille Suit because my uncle wanted me to make one. NO disrespect to the Scout/Snipers. He wanted me to make one because he knows from experiance what it takes. He was not a Marine Scout/Sniper. But he was for the army. He thought it was a good idea that if i really was serious about becoming a Scout/Sniper i should start to get used to the feel of one and how to use one.

I would encourage you to wait. Bad habits learned at an early age are very hard to overcome.

Stalking and individual movement skills can not be learned by reading books, or watching Tom Berringer in Sniper.

And believe me, you do not have to train to be miserable. Enough of that will come on its own.

Listen to the Gunny on this. Earn the Ghillie dont dress in one until you need to and then you wont want to dress in one.
