MSG Mark Coleman: Warrior and Friend

Master Sergeant Mark Coleman was on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan when he was killed by an IED while leading a foot patrol in Kandahar province.
Mark grew up in Goldendale, Washington, just Southwest of Yakima.


Mark died doing what he did best. Leading from the front as in all things he did in life.
I will miss my friend as well as all of us here in 2-1 SFG (A).
Rest in Peace Brother, and god speed to the members of ODA-1235.

I also wanted to add this for our Australian brothers. Mark worked quite a bit with SASR in exchange programs and also in theater. They are great guys and were good enough to come down on short notice to pay their respects to him.
