What can i do to make my boots not stick out as much. Should i put the burlap on them?
Also what colors does anyone on here suggest for a desert ghille?
Hi AB;
I used a pair of IDF canvas boots(green) removed the buckle cuff and had a few rows of 550 cord sewn to them. Soles and heels are roughed up with a steel brush to eliminate shine. The normal boots and heels are a dead give away. http://wsphotofews.excite.com/001/PZ/1x/4v/gL21441.jpg
Not knowing the terrain you have in mind or the veg. of the area I can only suggest using colors appropriate for the first 24" above the ground. If I can be of further help, give a yell.
Take care...Jim

JY,
I have another question. How far over (towards front) should the burlap go on the sleeves?

I like the last run of 550 cord or netting to be at the top of the cuff. This allows the burlap to drape down to the bottom of the cuff, much longer and it can fouled in the bolt during operation. Always remember the 60/40 rule you want 60% natural to 40% burlap.
Take care...Jim
