Hi there, after much waiting im finally leaving to MCRD San Diego about 12 days from now, now my question does not pertain to Recruit Training but later on when im in SOI. Having a basic infantry contract I know I will not be able to try out for recon unless they ask for volunteers, my question is say I do volunteer during my stint at SOI and I am sent to MART/RIP what does ones daily activity's consist of while at MART/RIP? I am a good swimmer and my pullups/crunches are hi, but I am an average runner and have had my problems usually occur in this department as well, how essential is running in MART/RIP and is it just normal formation runs or is everything timed?
Thank you gentlemen, I know its not on your priority list to help a poolee out but I would appreciate any help.

You need to post an intro in the appropriate forum

Hopefully, you will get to enjoy (for many weeks) the fun activities and calisthenics that the instructors have planned for you. If a class is picking up soon, you may not be there that long since we are always in need of fresh coal to pressurize/pulverize into diamonds.

Running will vary from endurance runs to sprint workouts. Everything I observed over there involves individual effort. Several instructors are certified for CrossFit Level 1, so you can expect varied workouts overall.

I am always happy to help someone not suck before they get here. Apparently, there isn't much swimming involved with COD4.
For MORE information on how to be a part of an exciting MOS in a diversified world full of boogey-men and bad guys, PM me.
And post an intro.
