This is a Boston based company advertising for armed security in the Boston area. I've never heard of them, not that it means much. The address appears to be a mail box.

This is the guy in charge:

STEPHEN M. HARNEY, J.D., PRESIDENT sharney@isa.us.com
Stephen M. Harney is President and CEO of Internal Security Associates, LLC, a firm specializing in the conduct and direction of high level security assessments and details, executive protection assignments, internal security audits and fraud investigations, as well as in the establishment of comprehensive physical and personnel security standards.

He has assisted major airlines, insurance industry clients, educational institutions, Fortune 500 corporations, the Social Security Administration, as well as the U.S. Departments of Justice, Defense, State and Treasury, in securing sensitive facilities and in substantially reducing losses attributable to theft, fraud and corruption. He has served as Special Agent in Charge, Director of Security and as Regional Director of Internal Affairs for a federal agency now within the Department of Homeland Security. As the agency’s Director of Security he was responsible for physical and personnel security operations at over 300 government facilities, both domestically as well as in foreign countries. Mr. Harney served as Intelligence Liaison Officer to the Vice President’s Joint Task Force Command Center, and later completed a comprehensive review for the Office of the U.S. Attorney General focusing on drug interdiction operations, physical security breaches and internal corruption along the Southwest border of the United States. He has served as Assistant General Counsel for the Executive Office of Public Safety, and following the events of September 11, 2001, he was appointed Security Advisor to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

In his internal security capacities, Mr. Harney has significant expertise directing complex security operations, investigations, security risk analyses, as well as in designing security systems and procedures that minimize the potential for security breaches and liability. He has either directed or participated in many high level security operations, including events associated with the 2004 Democratic National Convention, high profile political and corporate events, coordination of security details for Prime Ministers and visiting Heads of State in concert with federal agencies, and finally as a former Senior Special Agent on loan to the U.S. Secret Service during his government career. Mr. Harney has also established training seminars for civilian and government agency officials that are designed to strengthen internal controls and procedures as well as to reduce the potential for internal theft, fraud and violence in the workplace.

As a practicing attorney, Mr. Harney has been a participant in numerous seminars on the topic of violence and is a recognized expert on the subjects of physical and personnel security. He is a certified instructor with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, and holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University.

Mr. Harney is a licensed private investigator and a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers’ Association, as well as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

If anyone's got some G2 on this company, I'm all ears. Thank you.

I am curious if anyone knows anything first hand about this company. I have done some research; ironically, it lead me here - I did not start here :(

The company website has been modified recently to include much more details, just makes me wonder.

I am speaking with them soon.

Thank you.

If the guy is a bonafide retired Special Agent In Charge (SAC) and a member of Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) just give FLEOA a call and ask if they can verify his membership over the phone. I'm a FLEOA member, being a member is NOT a vetting for his business, but it would at least tell you the guy is a retired Fed. This way you can verify his claims of being a retired SAC...SAC depending on the size of his office can be LOOSELY compared anything from O-6 to O-8...

Thank you, and I appreciate the info. I did see the information you mention and take that into account (although I did not know as much as you pointed out.) However, I'm looking for information on the company, not so much the owner. I have a friend in the USSS who is verifying the owner.
