Hi guys,
I was thinking of coming across to the US shortly to do a Hostile Zone/ High Risk environment PSD course.
Does anyone have any leads or tips on the best providers.
I have looked at Trojan Securities International and also CRI in Las Vegas.
Are there any others I should consider?
Best regards,
R

You can also PM me if you do not wish to talk about providers on the forum.
All the best

What good is it having a forum if they can't talk about providers?
Anyone who needs to PM you vice discuss it here probably has an agenda.

I did TSI's course in 06.
Instructors were good. Fellow students were good. I ended up working with quite a few TSI Alumni in the Ghan.
I would happily recommend TSI.

You should look in to Blackwater / US Training's HRSO course.

Hi SB,
The reason I wrote that is because some forums forbid users to talk about companies and Providers.
This is because some forums make a lot of money through advertising and have a strict policy with advertising and talking about companies.
I did not want to be in the "wrong" and did not know if you authorise this on your forum or not.
You seem to be so "uptight" about posting jobs and I thought it was the same with TP's, and that maybe I had to write "SB Approved".
Great to know that we can speak freely about training providers, many thanks.

@ Nofear, thanks for your response, I am 90% sure of going on the TSI course
@Johnnylaw, have contacted Blackwater in the past and they only train US citizens.
All the best and thanks

I'm not uptight about posting jobs, I'm thorough and ensure that 1. companies aren't using us to recruit for bids, 2. the jobs are real.
There's plenty of sites that allow any idiot off the street to post anything. We don't.
We've never censored discussion of providers as long as it isn't a back door attempt by a company to get their name associated with socnet. It should be apparent that unlike every other site that discusses providers, we are not in bed with anyone or allow advertisements. IMO the sites who are in bed with companies or get paid for advertising are jokes. IMO, they have a conflict of interest from the get go and the discussion on their sites reflect that.
This area is for the members to get leads and info. Our job is to make sure that info is accurate and useful. That's the extent of my "uptightness"
Thanks

He may want to shoot something other than airsoft, or any number of other reasons. The opportunity to drive vehicles of the size and type that he might be required to drive in a high risk environment, up to date emergency trauma training based on science and verified on today's battlefield, etc. I don't want to derail this thread into a "America vs. the rest of the world" type argument so I'll stop there.
I will say that the utility of private party training in getting you a particular job is probably over rated. Also, some courses that sound pretty lame when described to me are taken seriously in the non-US world and might be more useful for finding employment.
I've heard both good and bad things about Trojan. I had a pretty lengthy discussion recently with a buddy who did some training with them. He felt a lot of it was filler. I'd have to get him to refresh my memory but it didn't inspire confidence. They seem to attract a lot of guys from the UK. I also know a couple former Rangers who went there a few years back and they liked it. So your mileage may vary.
I'm actually having a tough time finding open enrollment courses by known entities right now, I'll dig a little more. There's no shortage of quality shooting instruction, but protection focused training seems to be in short supply right now.

Hi, Has anyone taken either the PSD or Anti Terrorism course at CRI in Nevada? I'm considering taking these courses with them in the future and just want to know if anyone had personal experience with CRI. If so how was the course and would you recommend?
Thanks
