What's up with the 5339 program? Where are they sending them? Hows's it different from the legendary 31's? I'm way out of the loop over here.

Sorry to take so long to write back. Did a little R&R time. YeeHaw!
The 39 program sucks. It's a bean counter fix for manning problems. Basically if some dweeb fails out of EOD school he may have the option of going to a MU as a "diver". It's complete bullshit. Oh, and if someone doesn't make it through school nowadays they aren't the sharpest tool in the shed. Catch my drift? Basically it all comes down to some officer wanting to show how many people he pushed through the school for the money.
Hope the leave was good. I just don't see the point. What can MU's use them for if they don't have mammal systems? Isn't that why the 31's went away? And the 31's at least had all of phase one.
Anyway, you still in Chem? You guys switch suits or are the scrubs still doing the Tap Walk? The last new guys we got already finished their first deployment, so you guys must still be doing some weeding.

Oh do we try to get all the weeds. It's actually harder than it sounds though. Yah we switched to JSLIST/ACPG a while ago. Th Chem division is slowly changing to be more "realistic". Now if we could just shitcan the M18 and get something more high speed!
Hows ops out there?
Not too bad. Both the primary missions spend a lot of time with the Army. About to start calling myself Staff Sargent. Was supposed to head to Bosnia, but got injured. Will be out the door in a couple of months. Don't feel bad about the M18. With all the cool daddy stuff out there, we still use it constantly. A lot of the old timers don't trust electronics.
