You guys are well aware of the dislike I have for the stuck up regiment (rangers). I was not in any way trying to give EOD a bad name in the forum. I would like to be a part of this forum. JW I hope you accept my apology. I did not think you were a tech until I stumbled on to this board. Thought you were a ranger in disguise. Just kidding.
Thank you all and ass to the blast.

No problem. You know us Navy Tech's, can barely keep us in clothes, much less a hat. What I was saying was TFRM was agreeing with another post written by a regular infantryman(leg). He wasn't calling the rest of the Army anything, just using the guys own words.
I don't know any of these guys personally, I just follow the posts. I've worked with SF/Ranger quall'ed guys and I would count some as friends. I know their feelings would mirror these guys.
One last thing, I know you definately have a beef with some of these guys and some of it might be justified, but you didn't insult them, you insulted 200+ years of tradition.

Not to bust your chops, but one the best things about this forum is the lack of B.S. and flaming posts that occur on it. So as a favor I would just ask that you not go pick fights on the other forums, they tend to eat their own enough without help. Everything you said painted a picture of EOD techs in general. Just because you don't understand or like the Ranger culuture, keep in mind that there are plenty of folks in the Army that don't understand or like EOD (mainly because we lack the cool guy marketing, and are having problems in our own community). Also, there are plenty Rangers who went EOD that are now civilians (because of the flaws in our program), so to imply an inherent superiority (especially in the are of mental capacity) based on career field is more than a tad flawed.

EOD guys ARE a total mystery. I mean who the hell would want to disarm a live bomb? No sir, I will take my chances jumping form an aircraft in the dark w/ out a reserve chute. Much safer that way. Thanks for the support JW, and to EOD, sorry the neigborhood got too messy for you. Thats what happens when you get a bunch of Rangers together, grass doesnt get mowed, oil in the streets, and lots of friendly insults. Well youz guys, have a good one.
